Hire purchase and leases (broker offering)
The soft asset broker offering includes minimum term leases, fixed term leases, non-regulated hire purchase, residual value leases where applicable and software payment plans. The site gives a minimum deal size of £1,000 and terms from 24 to 72 months, with 12-month terms on request. It focuses on equipment where value is shared between the asset and its use, supplied through brokers with an underwriting team and a point-of-sale proposal system.
Lease purchase (direct)
The customer has use of the equipment during the term and legal title passes to the customer on payment of a nominal purchase option at the end. The site says a balloon structure can be included to reflect the likely future value of the asset, and payment schedules can be aligned with revenue the asset generates. The lessor keeps legal title until the final payment.
Finance lease (direct)
The customer has use of the equipment without owning it during the term. At the end the customer may dispose of the asset as the lessor’s agent or continue with nominal annual rental payments. The lessor keeps legal title throughout.
Chattel mortgage (direct)
PEAC provides funds to buy movable property or to refinance existing equipment. The loan is secured by a registered charge over the asset at Companies House, and the site says legal ownership stays with the client at all times.

Who can apply to PEAC Solutions?
PEAC Solutions publishes these criteria. Meeting them does not mean an application will be accepted: every lender makes its own decision.
- UK SMEs funded through brokers and vendor programmes.
- Direct hard asset finance focuses on assets with a clear resale value that are income earning for the user.
- Preferred broker assets include IT, CCTV, fitness, garage, medical, telecoms and vending equipment.
- Preferred direct assets include cars, commercial vehicles, construction equipment, machine tools and printing.
How it works: asset finance
Asset finance spreads the cost of equipment, vehicles or machinery, with the asset itself as the main security. Under hire purchase you own the asset once the final payment is made; under a lease you pay to use it and hand it back, extend or replace it at the end.
Lenders look at the asset’s age, condition and resale value as well as the business, and many fund used as well as new equipment. Sector pages such as transport and logistics finance and construction finance show how it is used in practice.
Points PEAC Solutions publishes that are worth knowing:
- Chattel mortgage is secured by a registered charge over the equipment and treated as a loan.
- Site states it does not give tax, legal, regulatory or accounting advice.
- Hire purchase in the broker range is stated as non-regulated.
- Also offers vending finance and IT/technology payment solutions through partners.
Security and guarantees
Under lease purchase and finance lease the lessor retains legal title to the asset. A chattel mortgage is secured by a registered charge over the asset, with ownership staying with the client.
Is PEAC Solutions regulated?
PEAC Solutions’s site states: “PEAC Solutions is a trade name of PEAC (UK) Limited and PEAC Business Finance Limited. PEAC (UK) Limited is registered in England. Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Ref. 668041) in respect of agreements regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974. PEAC Business Finance Limited Registered Number: 00898129.”
Protections differ by borrower type and loan size. Most lending to limited companies is not regulated consumer credit, so read the agreement and ask the lender what applies to you.
