Who is Capify?
Capify is a UK provider of unsecured business loans. The legal entity named on its site is United Kapital Limited, company number 06575165. It is based in Altrincham. It gives its founding year as 2008.
Capify says it started in the UK in 2008, during the global financial crisis, to give small businesses another way to access finance. It says founder and CEO David Goldin set up Capify in 2002, with offices originally in the US and Canada, and that its UK and Australian offices were both established in 2008. It says it is based in Altrincham, near Manchester, and lends across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. United Kapital Limited was incorporated on 24 April 2008 (Companies House).
In its own words on scale:
- Says it has funded more than £1.2 billion across the UK and Australia (figure on its site in October 2026).
- Says it has supported over 20,000 businesses.
- Says customers come back to it 3 times on average.
Everything on this page comes from what Capify publishes itself. We show the date we last checked it, and we do not rate or rank lenders.
What does Capify offer?
Capify publishes 4 products for UK businesses. The table above gives the amounts and terms as it states them.
- Unsecured business loan: Daily or weekly repayments.
- Asset finance (hire purchase, leasing, refinancing): Fixed regular payments.
- Supplier Invoice Payments (SIPS): Daily or weekly instalments on working days.
Unsecured business loan
A loan of £10,000 to £3,000,000 that needs no property or assets as security, only a personal guarantee. Its FAQ says pricing uses a factor rate based on risk to set the total payback, and the total is collected in small daily or weekly repayments rather than one monthly payment. It says there is no fee for settling early.
Secured business loan
A loan secured on property. Its secured loan page says Capify only accepts residential property as security, and its FAQ gives an amount range of £50,000 to £3,000,000. A property valuation and a legal charge are likely, and upfront valuation and legal costs may apply.
Asset finance
Funding of £10,000 to £3,000,000+ for equipment, vehicles, machinery and technology, described as hire purchase, leasing and asset refinancing options, with repayment periods tailored to the asset. It says larger amounts may need security against an existing asset.
Supplier Invoice Payments (SIPS)
Capify pays a supplier invoice directly on your behalf, and you repay over 30, 60 or 90 days in daily or weekly instalments taken on working days. A processing fee applies per facility and per invoice.

- UK-registered business.
- Trading for at least 12 months.
- Minimum monthly turnover of £10,000 (£120,000 a year).
- Applicant aged 18 or over.

How do you apply to Capify?
Capify describes its process like this:
- Check eligibility online, which it says does not affect your credit score.
- Submit identity documents and 12 months of business bank statements (linked or sent manually).
- Capify assesses the application and makes an offer setting out fees and total payback.
- A credit check is run once you accept the terms and the application is submitted.
- If approved, funds are paid to your account and repaid in daily or weekly instalments.
- Brokers can register with Capify’s broker team to refer clients.
Information it says it asks for:
- Last 12 months of business bank statements
- Front cover page of an official bank statement showing account name and number
- Front and back of the owner’s ID (driving licence)
- Landlord details

Every application is subject to status and the lender’s own criteria at the time.
How it works: unsecured business loans
An unsecured business loan is a fixed sum repaid in instalments over an agreed term, without a charge over a specific asset. Most lenders still ask the directors for a personal guarantee, which makes them personally liable if the company cannot repay.
Lenders price each loan on the business’s trading history, turnover and credit profile, so the offer you receive can differ from the published range. Compare the total cost in pounds and the repayment pattern, not only the headline rate: our guide on how to compare business loan lenders shows how.
Our guide to unsecured business loans explains the costs, who it suits and how to compare offers.
Points Capify publishes that are worth knowing:
- Its FAQ says all Capify products require a personal guarantee, usually from the majority shareholder.
- Its FAQ says origination and processing fees apply if you proceed to a full application, and you receive a document setting out fees and total payback before signing.
- Published loan terms differ between pages: the homepage FAQ says 3 to 12 months, the FAQ page 3 to 24 months, and a menu panel says up to 5 years.
- When we checked on 15 October 2026, the broker page still described a merchant cash advance of up to £500,000, but the main product menu did not list one.
- Capify is a trademark licensed to United Kapital Limited and Capify UK Limited; the site carried no FCA regulatory statement when we checked.
Security and guarantees
All products require a personal guarantee, according to its FAQ. Unsecured loans need no property or assets as collateral. Secured loans are secured on residential property only. It says larger asset finance amounts may need security against an existing asset.
Is Capify regulated?
The pages we checked do not carry a clear regulatory statement, so we describe none. Ask Capify how it is regulated.
You can check any firm’s permissions on the FCA’s Financial Services Register, listed in the sources below, before you sign anything.
Protections differ by borrower type and loan size. Most lending to limited companies is not regulated consumer credit, so read the agreement and ask the lender what applies to you.
What are the alternatives to Capify?
Other providers of unsecured business loans with profiles here include Credit4, Cubefunder and Federal Capital. Each profile uses that lender’s own published terms.
The full list, grouped by product type, is in our directory of UK business lenders.
Applying through a broker
Capzy is a credit broker, not a lender, and gets paid by the lender. One application lets your business compare options across lenders, so you can weigh this kind of facility against the alternatives. You can check your funding options with a soft search that does not affect your credit score. A full application to a lender may involve a hard search, and any offer is subject to status and lender criteria.
