Kingsway Finance publishes 4 products for UK businesses. The table above gives the amounts and terms as it states them.
- Commercial loan: Fixed monthly payments.

Commercial loan
A business loan for expansion and investment. Kingsway says it requires a bona fide business reason and pays the customer directly. Payments are fixed monthly.
Professional loan
For registered professionals including accountants, architects, barristers, engineers, dentists, doctors, opticians, pharmacists, solicitors, surveyors and vets. Kingsway says it can cover building works, intangible assets, professional indemnity premiums, tax payments, partner buyouts and acquisitions.
Growth Guarantee Scheme term loan
Term loans of £25,001 to £350,000 over 4 or 5 years under the government Growth Guarantee Scheme, up to £2m per business group. Kingsway says the government guarantees 70% to the lender while the borrower remains 100% liable. Personal guarantees may be taken at Kingsway’s discretion, and a principal private residence cannot be taken as security under the scheme.
Hire purchase
Equipment funding with an option to own the asset once all instalments are paid. Kingsway says assets are paid for as they generate income and that large deposits are not required. It also lists lease and sale-and-lease/HP-back, where it buys existing assets that are no more than five years old, with the original invoice available, and finances them back.

- A bona fide business reason is needed for a commercial loan.
- Professional loans for registered professional bodies such as accountants, architects, solicitors, dentists, vets.

Every application is subject to status and the lender’s own criteria at the time.
How it works: unsecured business loans
An unsecured business loan is a fixed sum repaid in instalments over an agreed term, without a charge over a specific asset. Most lenders still ask the directors for a personal guarantee, which makes them personally liable if the company cannot repay.
Lenders price each loan on the business’s trading history, turnover and credit profile, so the offer you receive can differ from the published range. Compare the total cost in pounds and the repayment pattern, not only the headline rate: our guide on how to compare business loan lenders shows how.
Points Kingsway Finance publishes that are worth knowing:
- Works in partnership with commercial finance brokers; submissions go through its broker portal.
- Sale and lease/HP back considered where the original invoice is available and equipment is no more than five years old.
- Growth Guarantee Scheme facilities are provided at Kingsway’s discretion.
- Security and personal guarantee requirements are not published on pages read.
Security and guarantees
Growth Guarantee Scheme loans: personal guarantees may be taken at Kingsway’s discretion, and principal private residences cannot be used as security. Hire purchase and leases are secured on the asset in the usual way; the pages read do not give further detail.
Is Kingsway Finance regulated?
Kingsway Finance’s site states: “Kingsway Finance is a trading style of Kingsway Asset Finance Limited. Kingsway Asset Finance is registered in England and Wales (Company Number 0307282).”
Protections differ by borrower type and loan size. Most lending to limited companies is not regulated consumer credit, so read the agreement and ask the lender what applies to you.

Applying through a broker
Capzy is a credit broker, not a lender, and gets paid by the lender. One application lets your business compare options across lenders, so you can weigh this kind of facility against the alternatives. You can check your funding options with a soft search that does not affect your credit score. A full application to a lender may involve a hard search, and any offer is subject to status and lender criteria.
