What does 365 Finance offer?

365 Finance publishes one product for UK businesses. The table above gives the amounts and terms as it states them.

  • Revenue-based finance / merchant cash advance: A small percentage of each credit and debit card sale; no fixed monthly payments; single all-inclusive cost agreed at the start.

Revenue-based finance / merchant cash advance

The business receives a cash advance and repays it as an agreed percentage of its future credit and debit card sales, taken automatically at the point of sale through its card terminal. Advances run up to £500,000 depending on monthly card turnover. Collections stop automatically once the advance has been repaid in full. The lender says it looks at recent card transaction history, with a soft credit search, and says no security or business plan is required.

What does 365 Finance fund?

365 Finance says its finance is used for:

  • Lease or rent payments
  • Equipment purchases
  • Employee wages
  • Business expansion
  • Seasonal cash flow

Sectors and business types it says it funds:

  • Retail (high street and online)
  • Hospitality
  • Services
  • Seasonal businesses
  • Subscription models
  • Ecommerce

Who can apply to 365 Finance?

365 Finance publishes these criteria. Meeting them does not mean an application will be accepted: every lender makes its own decision.

  • In business for at least 6 months.
  • Monthly credit and debit card sales of at least £10,000.
  • Provisional quote then a soft credit search on approval.
  • Repayments taken through the business’s card terminal.

How do you apply to 365 Finance?

365 Finance describes its process like this:

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. A relationship manager is assigned to the business.
  3. The lender assesses card transaction history and carries out a soft credit search.
  4. If approved, the advance is paid and repayments are taken automatically from card sales.

Information it says it asks for:

  • Card sales history
  • Business plan not required

Every application is subject to status and the lender’s own criteria at the time.

How it works: revenue-based finance

Revenue-based finance, which includes merchant cash advances, is an advance repaid as an agreed share of your sales, so repayments rise and fall with takings. The cost is usually a fixed amount agreed at the start, not interest that builds over time, which means repaying sooner does not normally reduce it.

Providers look mainly at your card or online sales history. It tends to suit businesses with steady card takings, such as hospitality venues and retailers.

Points 365 Finance publishes that are worth knowing:

  • Says no security or business plan is required.
  • Unsecured; says it can reduce reliance on personal guarantees but does not say none is ever needed.
  • Repayments fall automatically when card sales fall.
  • Also operates in Ireland (365 Finance Ireland).

Security and guarantees

The lender says no security is required. It says the product reduces reliance on personal guarantees because repayments are linked to business performance; it does not say a guarantee is never needed. Early repayment is not addressed on the pages read.

Is 365 Finance regulated?

365 Finance’s site states: “365 Finance is a trading name of 365 Business Finance Limited and is a direct financial provider.”

Protections differ by borrower type and loan size. Most lending to limited companies is not regulated consumer credit, so read the agreement and ask the lender what applies to you.

What are the alternatives to 365 Finance?

Applying through a broker

Capzy is a credit broker, not a lender, and gets paid by the lender. One application lets your business compare options across lenders, so you can weigh this kind of facility against the alternatives. You can check your funding options with a soft search that does not affect your credit score. A full application to a lender may involve a hard search, and any offer is subject to status and lender criteria.
