There is no Revolut business loan or overdraft in the UK at present. Revolut’s business help centre says it does not provide credit, credit cards or overdrafts to Revolut Business customers. Account holders who need to borrow use other lenders, and can still supply their Revolut statements, exported as PDF or CSV, or share them through open banking.

Is there a Revolut business loan in the UK?
No. Revolut’s UK help centre answers the question directly for business customers: “At the moment, we don’t provide credit, credit cards, or overdrafts.” It adds that Revolut Business offers different products and services from a personal Revolut account, so a feature on the personal app may not appear in the business one.
Revolut is now a UK bank. Its business site says Revolut Bank UK Ltd is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by both the PRA and the Financial Conduct Authority. Holding a banking licence allows a firm to take deposits, but it does not mean a business lending product exists. Plan around what Revolut offers today, and check its help centre if you think that has changed.
If you need to borrow, you will be comparing other lenders. Our guide on how to compare business loan lenders sets out the types of lender and what to check beyond the rate.
Does Revolut offer an overdraft for business accounts?
No, Revolut does not offer an overdraft on business accounts in the UK, according to the same help centre answer. In practice, you can spend only the money that is in the account. A business that is used to an arranged overdraft absorbing a short gap between paying suppliers and being paid by customers has to cover that gap another way.
The common ways to do that are:
- Keeping a cash buffer in the account, sized from a cash flow forecast.
- Arranging an overdraft or revolving facility with another provider, while keeping Revolut for payments.
- Using invoice finance, so unpaid invoices become cash sooner.
- Agreeing different payment terms with customers or suppliers.
Our business overdraft guide explains how arranged overdrafts work and what they cost at the banks that offer them.
What do Revolut Business customers use instead?
Revolut Business customers borrow from other lenders, and nothing stops them keeping Revolut for day-to-day banking. Some lenders ask you to hold a business current account but do not require it to be theirs. The right product depends on the shape of the need:
| What you need | Type of finance | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| A one-off sum for a project or purchase | Unsecured term loan | A lump sum repaid in fixed instalments over an agreed term |
| Cover for gaps that come and go | Revolving credit facility or line of credit | A limit you draw on and repay, often paying interest only on what you use |
| Cash tied up in unpaid invoices | Invoice finance | An advance against invoices, settled when customers pay |
| Steady card or online takings | Merchant cash advance or revenue-based finance | An advance repaid as a share of future sales |
| A van, vehicle or equipment | Asset finance | The asset itself secures the borrowing |
Our directory of UK business lenders lists what each lender publishes about its products, amounts and terms. For revolving borrowing specifically, our guide to revolving credit facilities covers fees on drawn and undrawn balances.
How do lenders view Revolut Business statements?
Lenders mainly want to see your business’s money coming in and going out, and a Revolut Business account statement shows that like any other bank statement. Revolut’s help centre says an account statement includes your company name, registered address, account details, opening and closing balances and a transaction summary for the chosen period.
To produce one, Revolut says you:
- Go to Home, select the three dots and choose Statements, then Account statement.
- Pick the currency account. Each currency account has its own statement.
- Choose the date range. You can’t select dates before the account opened.
- Choose PDF, CSV, XML (Camt.053) or TXT (MT940).
- Choose a signed and stamped document if a lender asks for one. This is available for PDF only.
If you hold several currency accounts, send each one a lender asks for, because each has its own statement. Revolut statements use UTC times by default. And only users with permission to manage accounts can download statements, so ask the account Owner or an Admin if the option is missing.
Many lenders also accept statements through open banking, where you give a lender read-only access to your transactions instead of uploading files. Our guide to open banking explains how that consent works.
What else will a lender look at if you bank with Revolut?
The same things they look at for any business, subject to status and lender criteria. Where you bank matters much less than what the statements and accounts show:
- Regular income. Steady takings over several months, not one large payment.
- Your balance pattern. How often the account runs close to zero, and how you cover it.
- Existing borrowing. Repayments to other lenders that appear on the statement.
- Filed accounts. Many lenders also want accounts filed at Companies House, or management accounts if those are out of date.
- Credit history. Of the business and often of its directors.
If your income is split across Revolut and another bank, send statements from both, so the lender sees the whole business. Our guide to business loan requirements lists the documents lenders commonly ask for.
Does keeping money with Revolut affect how you borrow?
Not directly. Your deposits and your borrowing can sit with different firms. Two points are still worth knowing.
First, deposit protection. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme says its limit is £120,000 per eligible depositor per bank, up from £85,000 on 1 December 2025, and that businesses such as limited companies can be eligible. Revolut’s site says its UK bank is Revolut Bank UK Ltd, so check which Revolut entity provides your account using the group framework terms it links to.
Second, a lender that also wants to be your bank may offer a facility only to its own account holders, or price it differently. Ask whether opening an account is a condition before you apply.
Should you open a second business account just to borrow?
Only if the lender you want requires it and the facility is worth the extra admin. Running two accounts means two sets of statements, two logins and two places to reconcile in your bookkeeping. Before you open one, ask the lender three questions:
- Is holding an account with you a condition of the loan or overdraft, or only an option?
- Will my income need to run through that account for the facility to stay in place?
- Are there account fees on top of the cost of borrowing?
An overdraft in particular is usually tied to a current account, because it is a limit on that account. A term loan, invoice finance or a revolving facility from a specialist lender usually is not. If you want to keep Revolut as your main account, a lender that pays the funds into it and collects repayments from it by Direct Debit keeps your set-up simple. Note how often repayments are taken: a daily or weekly collection needs a balance in the account on each of those days.
How can Capzy help a Revolut Business customer?
Capzy is a credit broker, not a lender. The lender pays us when a facility completes, so we do not charge you a fee. You can check your funding options with a soft search that does not affect your credit score. A lender’s full application may use a hard search, and all funding is subject to status and lender criteria.
If you want to read about a one-off loan first, our page on unsecured business loans covers how they work and what they cost.
